Charbroil Quantum Series 5 Burner Infrared GrillThe Charbroil Quantum series uses a combination of infrared technology and open flame heat for cooking your food and can run on either LP or natural gas, the grills infra-red technology does a particularly good job of cooking red meat and can be used for direct or indirect cooking.

Most gas grill manufacturers don’t recommend using wood with their grills however Charbroil are the exception, if you want to infuse your food with smoky flavors such as mesquite or hickory you can drop a few wood chips between the grills cooking grates.

The infrared technology is more than just a gimmick as the grill can produce up to 50,000 BTU’s that is hotter than numerous other grills in its price range, you can also start the grill with relative ease as it has an electronic ignition system that runs on a single AA battery.

Getting the grill up to an adequate cooking temperature is also a short process as in normal temperatures you can have it ready in as little as ten minutes.

As the Charbroil grill can be converted easily to run on natural gas you can cut out the need for filling or maintaining a gas tank, if you want the grill to run on natural gas a conversion kit is needed that is available as an optional accessory.

By converting the grill to run on gas you can arrange for it to be connected to the utility gas supply in your home reducing the likelihood of you ever being out of fuel, if using a tank is your preference the grill also comes with a digital readout so you can determine the level of remaining fuel.
