Charbroil Heatwave Infrared 3 Burner Gas Grill

The Heatwave is another low cost barbecue grill option by Charbroil and its three burners can produce a maximum of 35,400 BTU’s, the grill has a main cooking area 550 square inches in size so laying on multiple steaks or burgers to cook at once doesn’t pose a problem.  A side burner is included with the grill so you can cook sauces and beans and other side dishes without turning towards your cooker, as with other grills in the range it can easily be modified to run on natural gas.

Charbroil M580 SS Quantum 4 Burner Infrared Gas Grill

The M580 SS is another popular grill produced by Charbroil that again uses infrared technology for cooking your food, at 580 square inches the grills cooking area is quite large and it also has space to accommodate a couple of fuel tanks.  The grill has a secondary cooking area 200 square inches in size and there are two halogen lights inside the grills firebox, the grills lights are efficient and should come in very handy if your grilling in winter.  Like other grills in the series the M580 has a digital fuel gauge and a side burner for cooking your extra’s.

The Charbroil Quantum series uses a combination of infrared technology and open flame heat for cooking your food and can run on either LP or natural gas, the grills infra-red technology does a particularly good job of cooking red meat and can be used for direct or indirect cooking.

Most gas grill manufacturers don’t recommend using wood with their grills however Charbroil are the exception, if you want to infuse your food with smoky flavors such as mesquite or hickory you can drop a few wood chips between the grills cooking grates.

The infrared technology is more than just a gimmick as the grill can produce up to 50,000 BTU’s that is hotter than numerous other grills in its price range, you can also start the grill with relative ease as it has an electronic ignition system that runs on a single AA battery.

Getting the grill up to an adequate cooking temperature is also a short process as in normal temperatures you can have it ready in as little as ten minutes.

As the Charbroil grill can be converted easily to run on natural gas you can cut out the need for filling or maintaining a gas tank, if you want the grill to run on natural gas a conversion kit is needed that is available as an optional accessory.

By converting the grill to run on gas you can arrange for it to be connected to the utility gas supply in your home reducing the likelihood of you ever being out of fuel, if using a tank is your preference the grill also comes with a digital readout so you can determine the level of remaining fuel.

A stainless steel side burner is also included with the Charbroil grill and this can produce up to 13,000 BTU’s, you can use the grills side burner for cooking beans, sauces or other side dishes without having to power up your cooker.
